The HND 3D Computer Animation course will provide you with the technical and creative skills essential for a successful career in the animation industry.

Using industry-standard software and equipment, you’ll gain hands-on experience as you navigate the animation pipeline from concept creation and modelling, to animation and post-production.

You will engage with a broad spectrum of topics including digital and traditional drawing, character design, modelling and rigging, environmental modelling, special effects and motion graphics.

Subjects Include:
Traditional drawing skills; Storyboarding; Character animation and modelling; Texturing; Surfacing; 2D animation and motion graphics; Special effects; Editing; Rigging and animation pipeline.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers preferably including Art and Design; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.

Progression Routes

Possible 3rd Year entry to relevant university degree course
