This course will give you the skills, knowledge and understanding to develop your career in the Travel and Tourism Industry. You'll gain the skills and knowledge required to provide high quality customer service and enhance your own employability.

The subjects you study may include:

Structure of the Travel and Tourism Industry; Applying Marketing Principles in Travel and Tourism; International Tourist Destinations; Digital Culture; Retail Travel Practice.

Optional units: Air Travel/Airline and Airport Operations; or a language.

If the language option is chosen, you may also study French, German, Italian or Spanish.

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers plus 3 subjects at National 5 including English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

HND level course; employment in tourist information centres, visitor attractions, travel agents, airlines, airport services, tour operator representatives, car ferry
