This course is for those wanting to pursue a career in electrical engineering at technician level. Covering all aspects of electrical engineering, the course includes DC, AC and three phase systems and machines.

The course includes, communication practical skills, single phase AC circuits, mathematics for engineering, electrical networks and resonance, electrical safety, fundamentals of control systems and transducers, electrical machine principles, three phase systems and power electronics.

Tuesday and Thursday Evenings- 6.00pm - 9.00pm or Day Release.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths or Physics or a relevant NC in engineering. Entry by interview.

Progression Routes

Successful candidates may be able to progress to HND Electrical Engineering or Degree courses at other institutions.
