This course allows students to develop technical engineering skills in regards to mechanical engineering. You must have a sound knowledge of Maths.

The course is structured to include a significant practical ‘hands-on’ element as well associated theory units. You'll have the use of the colleges extensive engineering equipment which includes a fully functional mechanical workshop and specialist labs. You'll be taught by highly qualified lecturers who have a wealth of experience within the engineering industry.

Subjects include: Technician Level Maths; Dynamics; Statics; Thermofluids; Computer Aided Design Draughting; Pneumatics and Hydraulics; Strength of Materials; Communications; Engineering Information Technology.

Entry Requirements

Maths and a science or technological subject at National 5. Interview.
