The HNC is designed for people who want to develop skills for and gain an understanding of the fascinating and complex world of Business.

You will analyse different situations which businesses could face, using information from the external business environment such as market forces and competition and from the internal business environment such as financial information and performance data. The course will be assessed through a blend of assignments and project work.

You will study:
Business Fundamentals and Emergent Technologies; Managing People and Organisations; Economics; Marketing; Accounting; Communications; Content creation for a business; Graded unit.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher plus 4 subjects at National 5, or Foundation Apprenticeship Business Skills, or Advanced Certificate: Accounting, Administration, Business and Legal, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
