You will learn about craft baking, and the art of making bread and dough products, as well as gaining specialist knowledge in pastry and cake decoration.
As well as bakery qualifications, you will also learn professional cookery and service skills that can lead to a career in bakeries, cafes, coffee and farm shops, and retail catering outlets. Understanding what it takes to organise and run a food outlet within your college campus will give you the hands-on experience required for preparing, producing, promoting, and selling food products as part of an enterprise experience.

4 subjects at National 4 including English; or SVQ Professional Cookery at SCQF Level 4; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.
Advanced Certificate: Patisserie or MA/SVA courses in the industry.
