Year 1:
Subjects include introduction to accounting, finance and economics.

Year 2:
Learn the specialisms of financial and management accounting.

Year 3:
Advanced topics in financial and management accounting, and the study of auditing, along with the opportunity to study taxation.

Year 4:
Honours classes include Contemporary Issues in International Financial Reporting, Sustainability Accounting: Theory and Practice, Auditing Theory and Practice, Management Accounting Theory and Practice, Accounting and Risk, Understanding Accounting, Accounting Theories; you also investigate issues studied in class in a dissertation project.

2026 entry requirements

Standard entry:
4 or 5 Highers at AAAA or AAABB (first sitting) or 7 Highers at AAAABBB (two sittings) including Maths or Applications of Maths at A and English at B.

Widening access entry:
4 Highers at AABB (first sitting) or 6 Highers at AAABBB (two sittings) including Maths or Applications of Maths at A and English at B.

A Foundation Apprenticeship is accepted in place of a non-essential Higher.
