This course is for those wanting to progress from NQ computing into further study or into a career in computing or information technology. It develops skills and knowledge in Software Development, Data Science and Applications development
The course includes:
Project management; Computer operating systems; Programming; Web development; Application software; Working within a project team; Computer architecture. There is a final graded unit exam.
1 Higher plus 2 subjects at National 5 including Maths, Computing Science or a science subject, or relevant Foundation Apprenticeship, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
HND Software Development, or possible progression to Year 2 of a university course. Or employment.
