This course provides a well-rounded introduction to the core principles and practices of computing, focusing on both technical skills and personal development.

You will study a broad range of core computing topics, including:

Programming using C#, Python, and C++; Web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; Database design and SQL; Computer systems, troubleshooting, and digital forensics; User-centred design, project management, and teamworking.

Learning is project-based, allowing you to apply skills through real-world scenarios and practical assessments.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths, Computing Science or a science subject plus 2 subjects at National 5 including Maths (if not held at Higher), or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Levels 5 and 6. Interview.

Progression Routes

HND Software Development, or possible progression to Year 2 of a university course. Or employment.
