The BSc Computing Science will give you a wide ranging understanding of computing in a variety of disciplines.

Study topics include software development processes and technologies; foundations of programming; software modelling tools; object-oriented analysis and design; databases and web service development; and applications.

Careers available in a dynamic industry include software developer or software engineer, web developer, systems analyst, database administrator, database designer, IT consultancy and technology sales.

This course is accredited by the British Computer Society, fully meeting the educational requirements for Chartered IT Professional registration.

2023 entry requirements
Standard entry:
4 Highers at ABBB including Maths or Computing Science plus English at National 5.

Entry to year 2 is possible with 3 Advanced Highers at CCC including Maths or Computing Science plus English at National 5.

Widening access entry:
4 Highers at BBBB including Maths or Computing Science plus English at National 5.
