This diploma allows you to develop your knowledge and understanding of theoretical physics and the underpinning mathematics. You’ll gain a thorough grounding in mathematical concepts, theories and their uses and combine them with fundamental physics concepts (including Newtonian mechanics). Practise using applied mathematics tools, including mathematical methods modelling and essential methods and tools; increase your familiarity with mathematical software. You’ll also learn skills in communicating clear and concise arguments and conclusions.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements to study this qualification, but it is very important that you are well prepared to study mathematics at this level.

Computer and internet access required.
