Computing and IT and Psychology

Open University in Scotland

Content

This is one of several subject combinations available in the Certificate of Higher Education in Computing and IT and a second subject – you’ll divide your time equally between the two subjects. You will be introduced to the different ways in which psychologists investigate the human mind and behaviour, and how psychology addresses real-life issues – such as the acceptability and effectiveness of computers and mobile devices.

You will also explore the profound technological, economic, political and ethical changes driven by the digital technologies that surround us. By combining study of these popular and important disciplines, you will be equipped for further study leading to a wide range of possible careers.
