This NC Engineering Practice (Level 5) course provides an introduction to the world of engineering practice. It will provide the knowledge and skills you require to work in the mechanical and manufacturing engineering industry and will allow you to progress into employment as an apprentice or to further study in a range of engineering disciplines on Level 6 courses. If you enjoy problem solving and like to know how things work then this is the course for you.

Core Units:
Communication Core Skill Unit; Mathematics: Craft 1; Engineering: Using Information Technology; Health and Safety: Engineering.

Mandatory Units:
Engineering Dimensional Control; CAD for Engineers; Engineering Materials; Graphical Engineering Communications.

Optional Units:
Engineering Project; Engineering Quality: An Introduction; Engineering Workshop Skills; Engineering Assembly Skills; Material Removal Practice: Milling; Material Removal Practice: Turning; CNC Matching; CNC Programming
