UHI Argyll is a partner college of the University of the Highlands and Islands and offers people in this area access to a range of further and higher education courses.

The college has a number of centres, with nine main centres at: Arran, Campbeltown, Dunoon, Helensburgh, Islay, Lochgilphead, Oban, Rothesay, and Tobermory with around 1,600 students.

Courses and subjects

Courses are available at all levels from NC and HNC to degree and postgraduate. Industry and vocational qualifications are also on offer. There are a range of study modes, including full time, part time and online.

Subject areas taught at the college include: Business and Computing; Creative Industries; Education, Child and Youth Studies; Engineering, Construction and Technology; Gaelic Language and Culture; Health and Wellbeing; History, Heritage and Social Studies; Science, Nature and the Environment; and Sports, Adventure and Tourism.

Facilities and services

Each centre has computers, high speed internet access, video conferencing facilities and study areas available to students. There is support available on a range of topics, such as funding, study skills and wellbeing, from the staff at the local centres and via email through the Student Support Team.
