Borders College has four main campuses: Scottish Border Campus (Galashiels), Hawick, Newtown St Boswells and Tweedbank. It is the regional college for the Scottish Borders.

The main campuses are supported by a number of community based learning facilities throughout the Scottish Borders.

Courses and subjects
The college offers a wide range of courses from introductory and foundation level, through to HND. Courses are available on a full and part time basis. Some courses provide direct entry into a degree programme at university.

There are courses offered under a wide range of departments including: Art and Design; Arts, Crafts and Wellbeing; Beauty and Hairdressing; Business and Computing; Care and Education; Catering and Hospitality; Childcare; Construction; Customer Service; Engineering and Motor Vehicle; Gamekeeping; Graphic Design; Green Skills; Health and Safety; Health and Social Care; Horse and Animal Care; Horticulture and Landscaping; Landbased Industries; Management; Practical Skills; Sports and Exercise; Supported Programmes; and, Youth Work.

Facilities and services

Scottish Borders Campus provides a unique learning and teaching environment, offering practical training areas, including state of the art hair and beauty salons and training restaurant, a modern well stocked library and learning resource centre, enhanced IT facilities and bright, spacious student social areas.

The Hawick Campus is home to the Department of Enterprise and Business Innovation.

The Newtown St Boswells Campus offers students studying landbased courses access to industry specialist practical areas, and a dedicated learning resources centre, offering high quality training facilities to meet the needs of an ever changing rural and landbased sector.

Tweedbank is where the Construction Hub is located.

Specialisms
The Scottish Borders Campus in Galashiels hosts Heriot-Watt University’s world renowned School of Textiles and Design. This enables both the college and university to benefit from excellent shared facilities. Newtown St Boswells Campus is a well recognised centre of excellence for landbased studies, while the Hawick Campus is home to the Business Development Unit.
