In this project-based course, you’ll cover all the main skills used in the furniture manufacturing industry, including craft timber and upholstery.

Working in fully-equipped workshops, you’ll also learn about wood finishing and how changes in culture and lifestyle affects furniture. In addition, you’ll gain experience in both modern and traditional methods of furniture production.

You’ll study:
Traditional Timber Construction and Techniques; Veneering; Contemporary Processes and Techniques; Upholstery Techniques; Polishing Techniques; Workshop Drawing and Design.
