This course is designed for individuals who want to expand their knowledge of construction but have not yet chosen a specific trade. It offers an overview of various trades, enabling you to decide what trade to specialise in.

This course offers practical, transferable skills and theoretical knowledge of the Construction Industry to help you find a job.

You'll study a range of units related to the trowel occupations and joinery, including:

Basic Bricklaying; Basic Joinery; Basic Tiling; Construction Numeracy; Construction Measurement and Costs; Information Communication Technology; Communications; Construction Drawing.

Entry Requirements

1 subject at National 4, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry subject to interview.

Any of the NPA awards within the construction department.
