If you aspire to enter the construction industry at a supervisory level, the HNC Construction Management will give you the knowledge and skills to achieve this.

The construction industry is one of the most diverse and interesting fields to work in, with careers available including: architectural technology; construction management; quantity surveying; and facility management.

Content:

Construction Management: Graded Unit 1; Construction Site Surveying A; Site Administration; Standard Forms of Construction Contracts; Construction Materials and Specification; Construction Technology: Industrial/Commercial Superstructure; Construction Technology: Substructure.

Option units may include:
Construction Planning; Quality in Construction; Construction Technical Communication Skills; Construction Technology: Domestic Construction; Estimating; Financial Studies for the Construction Industry; Health and Safety in Construction; Managing Construction Organisations; Architectural Design Sketching and Drawing; Personnel Development Planning; Building Services an Introduction; CAD 2D1.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher, preferably Maths, Graphic Communication or a science subject; or Foundation Apprenticeship Civil Engineering; or relevant NC or NQ at SCQF Level 6. You may be required to attend for interview.
