This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and understanding required for employment in a dynamic construction industry. There are so many aspects to construction for the appropriately trained; organising resources, materials, labour, and planning, as well as monitoring construction quality and progress.

This course allows you to work in the construction industry without following a traditional apprenticeship route, but can also enhance the opportunity for you to be taken on as an apprentice.

The course is predominantly theory-based with a small practical element.

Content:
Construction Technology: Modern methods of construction; Health and Safety; Construction materials; Construction site surveying: an introduction; Building Environment Project.

Entry Requirements

English or Maths and Design and Manufacture or Product Design at National 5, or NPA Construction, or equivalent qualification at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
