Edinburgh Campus
First Year: The majority of modules studied by First Year: students are common across the programme, and provide an introduction to the main themes studied throughout the rest of the course. Students also undertake a residential study weekend during First Year.
Second Year: Covers a range of modules in a greater depth. Examples of these include topics such as Lighting and Architecture, Inclusive and Safe Environments, and Energy Policies and Resources.
Third Year: More specialist topics are covered, such as Computer Design Methods, Building Electrical Systems, Thermal Modelling, and Architecture. Research methods are taught, in preparation for the dissertation in the final year.
Fourth Year: Students can select from a range of specialist options and also undertake design and laboratory based projects.
2021 entry requirements:
Standard entry: 4/5 Highers at AABB or BBBBC including Maths at B plus English at National 5.
Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC including Maths at B plus English at National 5.
For level 2 entry you would require 2 Advanced Highers at BB including Maths plus 4/5 Highers at AABB or BBBBC.
