This course is designed to give you the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to progress toward becoming an apprentice bricklayer.

You’ll spend most of your time in practical sessions, learning core bricklaying techniques, supported by a small amount of theory to help you understand the principles behind the craft.

Alongside trade-specific skills, you’ll also develop essential transferable skills.

Entry Requirements

1 subject at National 5 plus 3 at National 4, or 5 subjects at National 4, including English, Maths or a science subject. Interview and pre-entry test.

Progression Routes

Bricklaying at SCQF level 6 craft apprenticeship. Employment within the industry at this stage would be necessary.
