This course aims to provide a solid foundation in a range of Bricklaying skills. It promotes the experience of working with others in a practical construction environment and gives opportunities for employment at a basic skill level in the construction industry.
To achieve this, students will learn about the skills and attitudes that employers are looking for, how to work effectively with others and what to expect when in the workplace.

Block Walling; One Brick Walling: An Introduction; Half Brick Walling: An Introduction; Hard landscaping; Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare; Employability and Behavioural Skills; Construction Operatives: An Introduction; Construction Methods; Appreciation of Access Platforms and Equipment; Construction Occupation Practices: An Introduction; The Construction Industry and Principles of Building Design; Sustainability in the Built Environment; Construction Maths; Communication; Information Technology.
English and Maths at National 4. Selection by interview.
