This course is intended for those who want to develop knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to careers within the Built Environment and Design, for those that may be currently working in, or desire to work in, this industry. This is an ideal course if you want to progress onto the HNC/HND and pursue a career in Quantity Surveying, Architectural Technology, Construction Management or in Architectural Design positions.

Block 1 will consist of hand skills taught through a project covering: model making, introduction to cad, understanding architecture and drawing for construction.

Block 2 will focus on digital skills through project 2 that will embed 3d cad skills with, surveying, calculations, health and safety.

Entry Requirements

3 relevant subjects at National 5. Interview.

Progression Routes

Relevant qualifications - HNC Architectural Technology, HNC Quantity Surveying, HNC Construction Management, HNC 3D Design.

This course can open up opportunities to careers within the built environment sectors including Urban Planning, Architecture, Digital Construction, Quantity Surveying, Environmental Sustainability and Design.
