This course is designed to provide focused skills in Joinery at City and Guilds Level 1 with industry-recognised qualifications and certificates that will assist in the pursuit of a Construction Apprenticeship or another similar, lifelong meaningful career. This course is specifically designed to meet the requirements of students who are not yet prepared for the City and Guilds Level 2 course or have little industry background.
Content:
Bench Joinery including safe use and maintenance of wood working hand tools and machinery.
Upon completion you will achieve:
Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery; and Level 1 Award in Construction Skills (Carpentry and Joinery).
National 5 in a technological subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
