Learn how food, nutrition and exercise impact wellbeing and health on this wide-ranging, flexible degree.

Working in our state-of-the-art labs, you'll handle and test food professionally, and master analytical techniques. You'll discover the fundamentals of food, nutrition and exercise. You can add valuable experience to your CV with a work placement and/or a study abroad option.

If your plan a career in public health, nutrition or home economics teaching, this degree is your passport to success. The course is aligned with the General Teaching Council (GTC) requirements for the PG Diploma in Home Economics teaching if that's your graduation plan.

2027 entry requirements

Standard entry: 4 Highers at BBBC plus English and Maths or Applications of Maths at National 5.

Widening access entry: 3 Highers at BBC plus English and Maths or Applications of Maths at National 5.

For entry to second year, you must have 3 Advanced Highers at BBB including Biology or Chemistry and Health and Food Technology.
