This course will fully prepare you for a craft apprenticeship in Bricklaying.

You’ll develop essential trade techniques, problem-solving ability, and transferable construction skills while learning in our purpose-built workshops at Glasgow Kelvin College. The course also introduces Health & Safety training, Construction Drawing, Numeracy, and ICT to prepare you for working safely and effectively on site.

Key Learning Areas:
Bricklaying Fundamentals; Block Walling; Simple Arch Construction; Decorative Brickwork; Construction Occupation Practices; ICT and Employability Skills; Health & Safety Awareness.

Progression Routes

While the pre-apprenticeship course is in bricklaying there are many transferable skills and attitudes gained throughout the progress of the course which may lead to employment in other apprenticeships/careers within the sector.
