Carpentry and Joinery is one of several trades which supports the massive industry known as construction - the building of houses, commercial premises (like shops, hotels or offices) and industrial premises (like factories or warehouses). Skilled tradespeople usually find themselves in high demand - from homeowners as well as industry - so if you invest in your abilities now, you could have a great future ahead!

Carpentry and Joinery involves the manufacture of products in a workshop which will then be fitted on site, examples being doors, windows, staircases or units. This course focuses on the skills you’ll need for a career in Carpentry and Joinery. As you might expect, you’ll do loads of practical work, but with a bit of theory too so you can find out what you need to know to work successfully in this trade.
