This course will give you a good foundation for becoming a skilled tradesperson. As you might expect, you’ll do loads of practical work, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, plastering and tiling. You’ll also do a small amount of theory and will find out what you need to know to work successfully in the construction industry.

You will learn: how to build half brick and one brick walls; cavity wall construction; damp proofing and decorative brickwork..

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4; or Pre-Apprenticeship in Bricklaying (Level 4); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry subject to interview.
