The focus in these varies, from consultation, design and advisory, to site-based work. The HNC Civil Engineering provides the relevant qualification for a Civil Engineering Technician.

It is currently delivered for students employed in the sector as trainee Civil Engineering Technicians.
Higher Maths; or Foundation Apprenticeship Civil Engineering; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
