This construction course is for those thinking about a career in construction- it is an ideal course for school leavers to develop skills such as plumbing, decorative painting, carpentry and joinery.

This course includes classroom and workshop-based activities and supports students on to further study or employment.

You will develop skills and knowledge in the carpentry and joinery discipline, including practical skills in a workshop environment such as fitting lock and latches and project work.

This course is awarded and certificated by City & Guilds which is a national recognised qualification.

Entry Requirements

National 3 English, Maths and a science or technological subject. Interview and practical skills test.

Progression Routes

National Progression Award (NPA) construction or any SCQF level 5 courses in engineering, construction and motor vehicle at West Lothian College.
