This course will really get you work-ready, giving you the skills and knowledge you need for an apprenticeship in bricklaying.

Areas covered:
highly skilled brickwork, including how to build arches, circular brickwork such as serpentine walling and decorative brickwork; construct fireplaces and chimneys; repair, maintain and renew old masonry; organise and price construction work; working on a real craft project.

Entry Requirements

Construction (Bricklaying) (NPA). You will have to attend an interview and perhaps an additional skills test.

Progression Routes

Relevant course at SCQF Level 7 and then with appropriate qualifications (ie a Higher) HNC Construction Management or a joinery apprenticeship.
