This NQ Introduction to Skills in Construction course is ideal for you if you are looking to enter the construction industry. The subjects will prepare you for a range of trades within the industry including joinery, painting, brickwork, roof tiling and wall and floor tiling. Health and safety, team-working and employability skills are the core of the course. The course includes the City & Guilds Construction Crafts award at SCQF Level 4.

The NQ Introduction to Skills in Construction course is offered at our Anniesland and Cardonald campuses, with a slight difference in the subjects taught at each campus

Anniesland Campus
Joinery skills, Painting, Construction craft projects, Health and Safety in construction.

Cardonald Campus
Joinery skills, Brickwork skills, Roof tiling, Wall and floor tiling, Health and safety in construction.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. Interview. Short practical test.
