This five-month course, is a hands-on, practical programme. You’ll take part in site visits with industry partners, gain valuable real-world experience, and build the skills employers are looking for.

On successful completion, you’ll achieve an NPA qualification in civil engineering and be guaranteed an interview with an employer – offering a direct route into the industry as a civil engineering operative.

During the course, you’ll cover topics such as:

Workplace health and safety; Conform to productive work practices; An introduction to setting out secondary dimensional work controls; Install road drainage; Lay kerbs and channels; Excavate holes and trenches; Reinstate ground conditions; Form concrete structures; Lay and finish concrete; Work readiness; Skills portfolio.
