This course has been designed to provide an additional access route to degree study in the built environment.

Mandatory units:
Architectural design sketching and drawing; Construction technology: substructure; Construction technology: industrial/commercial superstructure; CAD: 2D1; Architectural procedures; Building services in large building; Construction materials and specification; Design of building structures; Statutory control of buildings; Architectural technology: graded unit.

Option units include:
Building services: an introduction; Construction technology: domestics construction.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers preferably including English, Maths, Art and Design, Design and Manufacture, Geography, Graphic Communication or Physics. Or Foundation Apprenticeship Civil Engineering. Or NC Built Environment.

Progression Routes

You can progress to second year of the BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology.
