This course has been designed to provide an additional access route to degree study in the built environment.

Mandatory units:
Architectural design sketching and drawing; Construction technology: substructure; Construction technology: industrial/commercial superstructure; CAD: 2D1; Architectural procedures; Building services in large building; Construction materials and specification; Design of building structures; Statutory control of buildings; Architectural technology: graded unit.

Option units include:
Building services: an introduction; Construction technology: domestics construction.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers preferably from English, Maths, Art and Design, Design and Manufacture, Geography, Graphic Communication and Physics; OR Foundation Apprenticeship Civil Engineering; OR NC Built Environment.

Progression Routes

You can progress to second year of the BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology.
