This course is aimed at those who have an interest in following a career in building services and focuses on introductory practical and theoretical units in the specific areas of plumbing and domestic electrical installation.
You will study:
Health and safety; Basic electrical installation operations; Basic plumbing operations; Energy and the environment; Science; Basic heating and ventilation operations; Introductory units in gas safety and principals; Maths: Craft 1; Communication; ICT; Construction safety practices; Construction occupation practices; Efficient construction practices; Hot and cold water systems; Preparing and securing plumbing appliances; Installing and connecting domestic plumbing; Basic electrical installation systems and protection; Basic electrical installation skills.
4 subjects at National 4 including English and Maths, or Certificate: Construction Futures, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.
