On this course you'll study the practical and theoretical aspects of Carpentry and Joinery, which will prepare you for working in the Construction Industry. You'll also develop transferable skills such as numeracy and efficient working practices which will help you to get a job in this field.

You'll study:
Health and Safety in a Construction Environment; Carpentry and Joinery: An Introduction; Develop Bench Joinery Skills; Manufacture Joinery Components; Develop site Joinery skills; Carpentry and Joinery: Repair and Maintenance; Numeracy; Sustainability; Construction Occupation Practices.

Entry Requirements

National 4 English, Maths or a science or technological subject, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4 or relevant experience. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

There may also be the opportunity to progress onto other National Qualification courses.
