This City and Guilds course provides women with an introduction into the Construction Industry. During the course you'll gain experience and knowledge in a variety of construction trades. To find out what trades you'll cover, please see the 'What You Study' section below.

Your course programme will be delivered by our highly professional teaching staff with significant Construction Industry experience and a proven track record of bringing out the best in their students.

You'll learn a range of hand skills and practical tasks in the following trade areas:
Bricklaying; Carpentry and Joinery; Plastering; Wall and Floor Tiling. You'll also have the opportunity to develop skills in communication, numeracy and ICT.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. You should be interested in construction and be able to demonstrate this during the application process, as well as in the compulsory pre-course guidance sessions.

Progression Routes

You'll be able to apply for a course at SCQF Level 4 in a number of trades on successful completion of the course.
