You will gain knowledge and expertise in an interesting and challenging range of bench and site joinery work. You will cover health and safety requirements in the construction industry as well as construction drawing. You will also develop your core skills in communication, information technology, problem solving, team working and numeracy.

The course covers a number of practical based units such as: Principles of building and construction; Operating power tools; Produce setting out details for bench joinery products; Manufacture bench joinery products; Finishing techniques.

Entry Requirements

Construction (NPA). Entry by interview and practical test.

Progression Routes

Apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery or NC Built Environment/NC Civil Engineering.
