This course is for those who want to pursue a career in the construction industry. It develops your skills and knowledge in various disciplines within the construction industry. You have the chance to learn from industry experts, with opportunities for site visits and work experience. You will develop practical skills in a workshop environment.

The course includes:

Practical subjects such as decorative painting, roofing, wall and floor tiling, carpentry and joinery. Emphasis on project work: design, plan and manufacture. Safety, communication, information technology, problem solving, team-working and numeracy.

Entry Requirements

National 4 Practical Woodworking or Practical Craft Skills, or Introduction to Construction Skills (City and Guilds). Interview. Practical skills test.

Progression Routes

You could progress into further study, an apprenticeship or employment within the construction industry
