This course is intended to provide students with the technical education requirements for the position of Technician Engineer.

The syllabus is broad-based to allow for future employment with Civil Engineering contractors, consulting engineers, local authorities or possible progression with their current employer.

Civil Engineering:
Technology, Materials and Testing, Contract and Project Management, Specialisms and Graded Unit.

Construction:
Site Surveying, Substructure and Technical Communication Skills.

Structural:
Mechanics.

Others:
Geotechnics, CAD, Highways and Mathematics.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths or Physics; or Higher in a technological subject plus Maths at National 5; or Foundation Apprenticeship Engineering; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
