This HND course is the new SQA next gen HND Television Production course and is designed around collaborative project work, giving you the opportunity to specialise in an area that interests you most while building the teamwork, communication and professional behaviours expected in industry. Throughout the year, you will create portfolio-ready work that demonstrates your skills and prepares you for employment, freelance opportunities or progression to degree-level study.

You'll learn about:
Collaborative television production projects; Working to industry and client briefs; Professional roles and responsibilities within production teams; Camera and visual storytelling techniques; Editing and post-production workflows; Directing and production planning; Research and development for television content; Scriptwriting and programme development; Multicamera studio and location production; Professional practice, employability and freelance working.

You will also develop important industry meta-skills such as communication, problem solving, adaptability and self-management — all highly valued by employers in the screen sector.

Entry Requirements

HNC Film and Screen or other relevant HNC.

Degree level study or employment
