Content

Digital Skills for Business and Computing is an introductory, project-based course designed to help you build the core digital skills used across both business and computing. At this level, the skills required are transferable to both industries, and this course gives you a solid, confidence-building foundation for further study. It also lets you try both subjects before choosing if you'd like to specialise.

You will work through four realistic projects that mirror how digital tools are actually used in workplaces – from professional online communication and cyber security, to market research, collaboration, and creating digital content. Using a simple business or enterprise idea of your own, you will apply what you learn in each project so that you are always working with a real, meaningful context rather than isolated tasks.?

By the end of the course, you will have: a portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills, increased confidence using a wide range of digital tools, and a clear sense of whether you want to progress into business, computing, or a blend of both. This portfolio is designed to support progression to Level 6 Business NQ or Computing with Digital Media NC, or to help you take the first steps in launching your own small enterprise, product, or online project.?
