The course includes a placement in a care setting subject to a satisfactory PVG check.
Core units include:
Care: Human Development and Behaviour; Care: Social Influences; Care: Values and Principles; Numeracy; Communication; Literature; HIV, Hepatitis B and C Infections; Health Promotion; Mental Health and Mental Illness; Caring for People with Dementia; Care Higher Project.
3 subjects at National 5 including English, or National 5 Care. Interview. Entry test.
