This degree brings together computing & IT with business, two disciplines that shape today’s workplaces. You’ll divide your time equally between both strands, gaining technical expertise in computing alongside insight into markets, organisations, strategy and decision-making. As you progress, you’ll choose a computing pathway to match your interests and apply your learning through a project in a business context. On completion, you’ll be ready to contribute to or lead technology projects in a variety of businesses.
There are no formal entry requirements to study this degree. Computer and internet access required.
If you’re new to study or to the OU, we recommend that you start with a course at Level 1.
On successful completion of the required number and type of modules you will be awarded a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Computing and IT degree. Depending on which modules you choose the Computing and IT degree may help you to obtain professional recognition from BCS – the Chartered Institute for IT, or from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Both are professional bodies established by royal charter.
