This HND Business Year 2 course is suitable if you already have an HNC in Business, which must be 15 credits, and would like to progress on to HND Business. This year develops the skills learned in Year 1, preparing you for jobs in a variety of industries. Subjects will continue to illustrate the links between the primary functional areas of business such as economics, accounting, management, marketing, human resources, information technology and law. The course also includes key employability skills required for business and personal development.

Behavioural skills for business; Economics: Micro macro theory; Economics: World economy; Human resource management; Managing business culture and strategy; Project management: Strategy, decision-making and risk; Preparing financial forecasts; Graded unit project; Research skills.

Progression Routes

3rd year entry to various degree courses at University of the West of Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian University, Strathclyde University and to other UK universities. You can also move on to University of Glasgow Honours Degree in Rural Business Management.
