This course reflects the increasingly important role that administration and information technology play in today’s business environment. The award will equip you with the Essential Skills and knowledge you require to play a key role in any modern business environment.

Year 1:
Word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation skills; Digital technologies for administrators; Office administration; Business communication; Recording financial transactions; Creating a culture of customer care; Marketing; Personal development planning.

Year 2:
Advanced word processing, spreadsheets, database; ICT in business; Office management; Business culture and strategy; Graded units; Team working; Presentation skills; The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher; or Foundation Apprenticeship: Business Skills; or Advanced Certificate: Enterprise and Business; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
