Module 3 helps you to understand how to identify and make contacts in relation to looking for work. This covers building up a network of people and how to make contact with recruitment agencies, employers, attending job and careers fairs and how people you already know can help you.

Work your way through the Where to look for work - contacts and networking Module, completing the activities throughout.

There are two activities to help you think about who could help you with your job search and how to prepare for attending a job fair so that you get the most out of it.

Teacher/Trainer Notes

If you are a teacher or trainer delivering this module to young people, you can use the PowerPoint presentation, which includes notes, activities, tasks/discussion points and estimated timings. There are also teacher/trainer notes, which outlines delivery requirements, aims, outcomes, career management skills and senior phase criteria.

If completing this module as a paper-based exercise, print out Activity 1 Worksheet, Activity 2 Worksheet and the Careers Fair Resource as well as the content before delivering it.
