This course is designed to give students a professional qualification recognised by the beauty industry. Students will develop skills in relation to a wide range of facial, body and complementary therapies. They will also gain in depth product knowledge and be able to offer clients' lifestyle advice.

Other topics covered include make-up for special occasions and developing a business plan. As part of the programme, students get the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience through a one week work placement.

Professional Salon Skills; Anatomy and Physiology for Beauty Therapy; Principles and Practice of Selling; Advanced Epilation; Product Knowledge; Eyelash Enhancements; Advanced Waxing; Prepare and Present a Business Plan; Lifestyle Advice for Clients; Contemporary Aesthetic Treatments; Aromatherapy; Reflexology; Make-up for Special Occasions; Eyebrow Artistry; Stone Therapy; Face and Body Treatment Packages; Contemporary Spa Massage; Signature Massage; Liquid and Powder Nail Enhancements.

Entry Requirements

Relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and research task. Candidates must achieve the Certificate in Contact Dermatitis Prevention prior to enrolment. This is a one day course and the cost is approximately £50. Students will be required to purchase relevant items of equipment and clothing.
