First Year:
Managing Organisations; The Economics of Business and Society; Accounting and Entrepreneurship; The International Context for Business 2.

Second Year:
Managing Customers and Marketing; Operations Management; Understanding Statistics; 60 credits of optional courses.

Third and Fourth Year (Honours):
Specialised management courses for honours students have a mixture of compulsory and elective
courses in subjects such as: Research Methods for Business; Human Resource Management; Business Ethics; New Venture Development; Consultancy & Change; Understanding & Managing Behaviour in Organisations.

The courses we offer are based around our staff’s specialist research areas. Honours students will complete a dissertation in Business Management (or in their other joint honours subject).

Entry Requirements

2024 entry requirements:

Standard entry:
4 Highers at AABB (by end of S5) plus English at National 5. National 5 Maths or Applications of Maths necessary for study with Accountancy, Economics and Finance. Those with Highers at BBB by end of S5 are encouraged to apply.

Entry to year 2 may be possible with 3 Advanced Highers at ABB including Business Management and another relevant subject at AB or BA.

Widening access entry:
2 Highers at BB (by end of S5). Additional Highers/Advanced Highers in S6.

(M) Higher Maths required

1 Foundation Apprenticeship is accepted in place of a Higher.
