The demand for skilled workers means there’s never been a better time to find employment as a childcare worker.

This full-time course is an ideal first stage qualification if you wish to work in the childcare sector as a nanny, childcare assistant, creche worker or similar.

This is an ideal qualification for anyone wishing to progress into further studies within education, childcare or social care. Throughout this course you may wish to undertake work experience to gain work based employability skills.

Units studied:
Working with Children and Young People; Rights and Protection; Practice of Play; Development and wellbeing of children and young people; Supporting Children with Additional Support Needs; Parenting; Process of play; Care and Feeding; Skills passport; IT.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English, or a relevant national qualification at SCQF Level 4.
