This course is one of only two HNC/HND courses in Scotland to be awarded the ScreenSkills tick. This ensures that the course keeps up with the rapid pace of creative change, and student’s benefit from using the latest technologies and working with industry throughout their studies.
Build technical skills including camera operation, lighting, editing and sound recording. Develop production and directing skills through numerous projects and assignments, which allow you to build a portfolio of practical projects.
Expand your technical skills through our multi-camera and vision mixing units. Pitch, develop and produce factual and drama projects. Gain industry understanding through master classes delivered by working professionals; create a show reel and CV highlighting your practical skills.
At least 1 Higher, English is preferred, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Relevant work experience, programme ideas or similar. You will attend an information session and provide supporting evidence for your application.
2nd or 3rd year of a relevant degree programme; employment in the TV or film industry.
